Ever since reading The Hobbit in elementary school, M. Anderson knew he had stories to tell, and worlds to build. Growing up an avid reader, M. Anderson often wrote stories and created settings in his head emulating his favorite authors and literary heroes.
He continued writing short stories and novel concepts into high school and college. It was when he started teaching high school English, however, that he discovered the world of young adult literature. His debut novel, The Lord of Long Shadows, is infused with both his lifelong love of fantasy, and his newfound passion for young adult literature.
When he’s not penning up concepts for his next novel, M. Anderson splits his time between rooting for his beloved Dallas Cowboys and Boston Bruins, and finding the next great adventure with his wife Sarah in Central Florida.
